Petaluma Fairgrounds Pickleball (PFP) is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and positive environment for all players and visitors. To ensure a fun, safe, and welcoming experience for everyone, we ask that all participants follow this Code of Conduct. By participating in Petaluma Fairgrounds Pickleball, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and help us create a space where everyone feels welcome, safe, and encouraged to play:
1. Respect for All

Treat all players, volunteers, staff, and spectators with kindness and respect, regardless of skill level, age, background, or ability.

Refrain from any behavior that is discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise offensive.

Practice good sportsmanship at all times — win with humility, lose with grace.
2. Court Courtesy

Share courts fairly and follow posted rotation or paddle systems.

Wait for the appropriate time to enter or exit courts to avoid interrupting play.

Use appropriate language and volume. Keep it fun, not loud or confrontational.
3. Play Safe

Wear appropriate footwear and use equipment responsibly.

Follow all posted safety guidelines and facility rules.

Immediately report any injuries or unsafe conditions to a volunteer or city staff member.
4. Take Care of the Space

Keep the courts and surrounding areas clean. Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.

Treat all equipment, nets, and property with care.

Use only designated pickleball courts and respect other activities or facilities at the Fairgrounds.
5. Be Inclusive

Invite and welcome new players into games — especially beginners.

Encourage learning and improvement with patience and support.

Uphold the spirit of community that makes Petaluma Fairgrounds Pickleball special.
6. Support the Program

Respect the efforts of our volunteers and city partners who help make this program possible.

Follow any additional instructions provided during special events, clinics, or tournaments.

Consider volunteering, donating, or helping to spread the word about PFP.
Violations
PFP reserves the right to address any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, including asking individuals to leave the premises in the case of repeated or serious offenses.
